Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
CLASS: Intro to Watercolor 1The introductory course will focus on the fundamental techniques and concepts of watercolor such as a flat wash, graded wash, direct painting, charging, glazing, and dry brush techniques. Students will become familiar with the basic watercolor materials and develop proficiency in applying various fundamental watercolor techniques as they develop their images. Special effects such as spattering, masking out, sponges, and adding salt to create textures will also be discussed.
• Age and/or skill level: 16+; no prior experience is necessary; need not be proficient in drawing as I can supply templates to trace • Class size limit: 6• Date(s): October 20, 22, 27, & 29• Time(s): 9-noon• Location: AAO – Fort Ontario Complex (north end of E 4th St), Oswego.• Cost: $72 for AAO Members; $84 for non-members. Students must bring their own supplies. Pre-registration & pre-payment is required. We cannot hold a class at these costs unless we have a minimum of 4 students. You can mail your check or money order to the AAO – PO Box 271 – Oswego, NY 13126, or you may pay using a debit or credit card via PayPal through our website –www.OswegoArts.org. If the class is cancelled due to low enrollment, your entire payment will be returned.
