DESCRIPTION:Oswego County Sheriff Reuel A. Todd has announced that Boating Safety Cours
 es will be held beginning in April, 2016.New York State Law requires boater
 s to hold a safety certificate if:· You wish to operate a personal watercra
 ft and are at least 14 years of age. · You wish to operate a motorboat and 
 you were born on or after May 1, 1996. You must be at least 10 years of age
  to take the course. · Although not mandatory, except of PWC operation, adu
 lt boating education is strongly recommended.These courses will be held at 
 the Oswego County Public Safety Center, 39 Churchill Road, Oswego as follow
 s:\nMay 14, 2016: 9 AM to 1 PM\nMay 15, 2016: 12 noon to 4 PM\nStudents mus
 t attend BOTH days of their chosen training course to complete the program.
  \nThere is no charge for the training. A parent or guardian must accompany
  any youths ages 10 through 17 to the classroom on the first day of the cou
 rse to sign a parental permission form.\nPre-registration is required and c
