DESCRIPTION:\nLearn how to whittle or to sculpt little figures in wood. John Pupparo wi
 ll be teaching a 3-week class at the Art Association of Oswego. Pupparo has
  more than 20 years of experience as a wood carver, using classic hand carv
 ing gouges. He uses mostly Bass (Linden) wood as the carving wood of choice
 . The class will meet from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM Mondays, March 16, 23 and 30.
  This class is for adults 17 and up. Ages 12 to 17 may participate with pri
 or permission from the instructor. The classes will be held at the Art Asso
 ciation of Oswego located at 20 Barbara Donahue Drive, right across the str
 eet from Fort Ontario. The cost is $53.00 for AAO Members or $75 for non-me
 mbers. There is also a $10 materials fee due the first night of class, paya
