DESCRIPTION:\nIn a virtual talk, artist Alberto Rey will discuss his current work on th
 e upcoming exhibition, "Biological Regionalism: Oswego River and Lake Ontar
 io," coming to SUNY Oswego in spring 2022. "Biological Regionalism: Oswego 
 River and Lake Ontario" is an exploration of the history and the present co
 ndition of the Oswego River and Lake Ontario. Currently in the research pha
 se, the exhibition is expected to include a series of large paintings, wate
 r samples and related data, historical information, ecological research, la
 rge maps, video projections and an illustrated catalog. The goal of this pr
 oject is to combine science, art and community interaction to create conser
 vations pertaining to cultural, social, economic, technological and geopoli
 tical issues related to local bodies of freshwater. Through interaction, en
 gagement and dialogue, Rey ultimately aims to increase awareness and pride 
 of the unique natural resources that are integral to the livelihood of our
