DESCRIPTION:The past five years have seen a tremendous amount of change regarding the f
 unding and management of scenic byways, including the Great Lakes Seaway Tr
 ail, and we would like to gain your insight and thoughts on how SWT can bet
 ter help your community and region participate in planning the future direc
 tion of how the trail is marketed, interpreted, and planned for development
 . In the past five years we have seen the end of the National Scenic Byway 
 Program as a federally funded and managed initiative; the loss of the Ameri
 ca Byways Resource Center; the loss of our founding President /CEO Teresa M
 itchell; and, most recently the departure of our President/CEO since June 2
 012, Mike Bristol. At the same time, NYS has modified how it funds scenic b
 yway projects, now including them in the state Economic Development Council
  funding process.\n \nAll of these events have had an effect on how SWT can
  respond to your needs, and assist your community. At these "chats" we will
  provide you with a brief update on the exciting events/activities currentl
 y underway by SWT, and invite your thoughts and comments as part of an open
