DESCRIPTION:On Saturday, March 2, at 7:30pm at the McCrobie Civic Center, Imagining Ker
 ouac, a multi-media presentation curated by Don Masterson, will take place 
 at the Oswego Music Hall as part of their Guest Curator Series.\n\nImaginin
 g Kerouac has evolved from a previous performance at Waterman Theater on ca
 mpus into a program unlike any offered before. Featuring the work of a doze
 n artists and performers, the show focuses on the literary and cultural ico
 n Jack Kerouac, the “King of the Beats.” This collaboration of writers, act
 ors, musicians, filmmakers, and visual artists has resulted in multi-dimens
 ional work.\n\nThe audience will be treated to original jazz numbers compos
 ed by the acclaimed musicians Robert Auler, Trevor Jorgensen, and Eric Schm
 itz. Supplementing this dimension of the show, will be a film shot in Lowel
 l, Massachusetts, Kerouac’s home town, by experimental filmmaker Jake Dodd.
 \n\nNoted visual artist Juan Perdiguero created six stunning drawings of Ke
 rouac at various times in his life. These drawings were featured in Jake’s 
 film and will be displayed in the show’s venue. Finally, a script composed 
 by Kerouac scholar Donald Masterson will integrate these elements with a sc
 ript dramatizing Kerouac’s life, work and lasting influence. Veteran actors
  Emil Christmann (Kerouac) and Renee Stewart, will be supported by enthusia
 stic newcomers Cathy Santos and Tom Mulverhill.\n\nTickets are $15 (https:/
