The presentation will fo cus on how schools work to prevent bullying and address student mistreatmen t while creating learning environments where every student feels safe and r espected.
The presentation will be led by Roseann Bayne, Assista nt Superintendent for Instruction at CiTi BOCES, who brings more than 30 ye ars of experience in education and is a certified New York State& nbsp;Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) trainer.
During the session, Bayne will provide a clear overview of the Dignity for All Stude nts Act and explain how schools identify, respond to, and work to prevent b ullying and harassment among students. The discussion will also help famili es better understand how behaviors are defined under New York State law and what steps schools take when concerns about student mistreatment are repor ted.
Participants will learn about the reporting process, the support s available to students, and the range of interventions schools use to prom ote respectful behavior and restore positive school climate when issues ari se.
