 dwatching, but don't know where to begin? Or perhaps you are already famili
 ar with local birds, and wish to contribute to citizen science?</p><p>Wheth
 er you are just getting started, or are already experienced with birding, t
 his program is a welcoming space to learn, enjoy, and contribute to science
 . Photography is also welcome at this program. Those unfamiliar with birds 
 will&nbsp;<strong>learn tips on identifying common backyard birds</strong>.
  Those already experienced can&nbsp;<strong>count the birds they see for</s
 trong>&nbsp;<strong>citizen science</strong>.&nbsp;Visitors can expect to s
 ee&nbsp;<strong>7 to 14 species of birds</strong>&nbsp;during their visit, 
 depending on the weather and the length of time they watch. All birdwatchin
 g takes place from the comfort of the indoors.</p><p>This weekly program ta
 kes place on Saturdays (except the first of the month) from 9:30 to 11 am, 
 with the exception of Dec 23. Visitors are encouraged to stay for the&nbsp;
 <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><a href="https://calendar
 .oswego.edu/event/naturewalk">Guided Nature Walk</a></span></strong>&nbsp;t
 aking place these same Saturdays at 11 am.</p><p>This program is best for a
 ges 8 through adult, although younger children are welcome.&nbsp;Like all o
 f Rice Creek's programs, children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
 </p><p>Observations from this program are submitted to the Cornell Lab of O
 rnithology's Project Feederwatch, a citizen science program. Data submitted
  to the program are used to study bird populations and behaviors and to inf
