Have many great memories of Janet and her family. All of us grew up together. She will be missed. My heartfelt condolences to her wonderful family. God Bless.
Born and raised in Utica, Janet was the eldest child of Ernest Jr. and Carmella (Cardarelli) Posch.
She moved to Oswego in 1972 and raised her children in the Port City.
Janet was a Certified Nurse’s Aide and worked at both St. Luke’s and Loretto.
Janet enjoyed music, cooking, and going to church. She was a member of the Lord’s Delight prayer group. Janet loved to cook, especially for those she cared for, and was famous for her sauce and meatballs. She loved her family, and she loved life. She shared her love and zest for life with everyone she came into contact with. Her positivity was contagious, she was a joy to be around, and she will be missed by all who knew her.
Janet is survived by her adoring sons John C. Hubalek Jr. of Oswego, David A. (Jen) Hubalek, of Liverpool, and Andrew E. Hubalek of Delmar; and her beloved grandchildren Natalie and Nicholas Hubalek . She also leaves behind two brothers Ernest Posch and Lyndon Posch both of West Moreland; two sisters Carol (Tom) Zuchowski of Clarks Mills and Darlene (John) Serbaniewicz of Newark Valley; the father of her children, John C. Hubalek Sr. of Oswego, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, December 10th from 3-6 pm at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Ten O’Clock at Christ the Good Shepherd, St. Joseph’s Church.
Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
