Blue Plate Seafood ...New location: 173 W. Bridge St.

"In that one week, I was there three times!"

I always wondered what kind of restaurant Blue Plate was.

At their old location on West Second Street, it was out of sight out of mind to me and I didn't know anyone who had been there before.
When I heard they were going to relocate to downtown on West First Street, I got excited. I work right near them and I can FINALLY see what kind of place they are. I went on opening day of their new location. In that one week, I was there three times!
The first night I ordered their black bean burger with a side of mac salad and it was perfect. I went two days later for dinner and I ordered their Mahi Tacos. I've never had mahi before so I decided to give it a shot. I was glad I did. The mahi was so tender, moist and the seasoning was on point. Definitely one of my favorites.
To finish off the week I went there on Friday for lunch and had their special. It was a Shrimp Cesar Salad. I wish I could describe how amazingly good this salad was. The shrimp was grilled to perfection, my salad wasn't drowning in dressing and I believe the croutons were homemade. I never wanted that salad to end!
Blue Plate Seafood has a nice relaxed environment that anyone could love. They also have selections for people who aren't too crazy on seafood so no one is left out. Two of the times I went there was this nice girl there named Danielle. She was very sweet, polite and energetic and the rest of the staff always looks happy to be there.
