The Connection Point, located at the former The Resource Center at 198 W. First St., in Oswego, will celebrate their grand opening on Oct. 18 and 19.

The new retail outlet will provide inspirational books, music, gifts and wedding accessories. In addition, The Connection Point also has plans to produce special events such as contemporary Christian concerts and family-centered conferences that focus on helping individuals grow in life.
Owner and Oswego native, Ann-Marie King, has provided resources and materials to local churches and pastors throughout the Northeastern United States for more than 18 years.
According to King, The Connection Point will continue to support and work with community area pastors to promote church events.
"We are very excited about our grand opening and what The Connection Point will offer the Greater Oswego community," King said. "Our vision is to connect with area families, individuals and churches with our products and services."
The Connection Point has also "connected" with other businesses in the area and will provide a co-op environment within the retail outlet. Businesses will include Conway's Stained Glass, featuring a variety of customized stained glass, fusion glass and mosaic art and jewelry from owner Candy Conway. The Posey Affair will offer a creative touch on wedding events with true-life floral decorations, as well as holiday centerpieces from owner Marian Wallace.
In addition, The Connection Point has partnered with Fort Weight Coffee Roasting Company and former Oswego native Andrew Bullard, to provide coffee and tea.
Opening daily at 8 a.m., gourmet desserts, pastries and pies will also be on the menu at The Connection Point, hosted by Betty Jo Woodard. In addition, Free Wi-Fi will be available.
The Connection Point will include a "local artist" gallery featuring artists such as Mark Humphrey, Terri Carbone, Jonathan Evans (photography) and Bill King.
The Connection Point, located at 198 W. First St., in Oswego, New York, is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. For additional information, call 315-216-6455.
