Paul John Oleyourryk Sr., beloved husband, father, “Pops”, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on May 10th, 2026.

He was born to John and Barbara (Jones) Oleyourryk.

Paul married the love of his life, Keli (Walpole), on July 22, 1989. Together they built a family he adored: Steven, John (Sarah Hill), Paul Jr. (Emma Short), Danzario, and Sebastian. He was a proud grandfather to Lauren Oleyourryk. Paul grew up with his siblings Valerie (Todd Streeter) and Tim (Laurie Ouellette).

A proud 1984 Oswego High School graduate, he served as class president. He was a member of both the soccer and basketball varsity teams.

He earned his BS in Economics from SUNY Oswego. He started his working career at P&C, moving his way up to manager, and most recently worked at Alkegen (formerly Armstrong).

He loved NASCAR Sundays, cheering on the Jets & Mets, and enjoying cold Blue Moons with his sons. Known for his unforgettable gift-giving, he had a knack for finding presents that were thoughtful, hilarious, or both — a signature move that became part of his legend. He was selfless and ensured those he loved always had what they needed. Paul enjoyed many years serving in AWANA and participating in Youth Group challenges with his children. He had a competitive spirit and could always be counted on to give it his all. He never missed an episode of SNL and made sure to share funny clips throughout the week with his family.

He is predeceased by his grandparents, Emrys & Mary Jones and John Sr. & Josephine Oleyourryk.

He is survived by his family, nieces, nephews, and his beloved dogs, Kobe and Bella.

Calling hours will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home in Oswego.

A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 6:00.
