“When it comes to understanding and dealing with family legal issues, Thomas Benedetto gets it,” said Oswego County Sheriff Don Hilton.
“He’s been an assistant district attorney and he’s seen the challenges law enforcement and families face first-hand. His ten years as a Family Court Referee and 30 years of relevant judicial experience in Family Court easily makes him the most qualified candidate for Oswego County Family Court Judge.”
Recently, Benedetto and Hilton met to discuss issues that impact children and families in Oswego County, including school violence.
As a Family Court Referee, Benedetto has heard hundreds of cases on domestic violence, custody and visitation issues, and alleged child neglect and abuse. “This position has allowed me the opportunity to help thousands of Central New York families,” Benedetto said. “And of those cases, more than 90 percent have had successful resolutions.”
Benedetto, the only Republican in the race, is the endorsed Oswego County Republican and Conservative candidate, and he has the approval of Independence Party voters. Republican, Conservative and Independence party voters will have the opportunity to select their choice for Family Court Judge in the June 25 primary election.
