Build a boat out of cardboard with friends, family, or co-workers to race for cool prizes!
You might wonder how cardboard boxes and some duct tape can solve a community and even national problem.
That problem is how to get more kids excited about working in science, technology, engineering and math fields (STEM fields).
This project offers a hands-on project, creative challenge, collaboration and mentorship.
There will be the following entry classes:
Youth 10-13 cost per boat entry is $20
Youth 14-18 cost per boat entry is $20
Family (any age) cost per boat entry is $20
Adults cost per boat entry is $30
Corporate cost per boat entry is $100
There will be a STEM Day Camp for ages 10-14 at Camp Hollis June 27th - July 1st. Camp will include materials and mentorship to help kids build their entry as well as fun STEM related activities. STEM focused activities in the morning and fun swimming and other recreation in the afternoon. Camp information including cost will be released soon.
There will also be workshops that we host for boat building. Stay tuned as we release more information.
