Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
The challenge features 8 NY lighthouses. The lighthouses featured this year include: Rock Island Lighthouse, Clayton; Tibbets Point Lighthouse, Cape Vincent; Selkirk Light at Salmon River, Pulaski; Oswego West Pierhead Lighthouse, Oswego; Sodus Bay Light, Sodus Point; Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse, Rochester; Braddock Point Lighthouse, Hilton and new for the 2016 Challenge, Thirty Mile Point Lighthouse at Barker, NY.
The $25 registration fee provides you with access (limited in some cases) to all 8 lighthouses, a challenge booklet with directions to destinations and bonus sites along the way, historical information and a 2016 Lake Ontario CNY Lighthouse Challenge keepsake. This year, for the first time, trips and tours will be made available to the Oswego West Pierhead Lighthouse. Access to each lighthouse, and any associated fees, are not included in the price of registration.
