Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
Fun games, prizes, entertainment, ice cream sundaes and free tours of the Richardson-Bates House Museum will all take place on Sunday, Aug. 28 from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Family Fun Day. The public is invited to come and take part in this summer fun activity for children and adults alike on the lawn at the museum at 135 E. Third St., Oswego.
There will be a variety of more games this year, including a duck pond, fish pond, croquet, and more prizes to win. As a special treat there will be an interactive performance of popular Aesop;s Fables stories. Face painting will be another fun day feature during the afternoon.
Ice cream sundaes, lemonade and ice tea will be available all afternoon. Cost of the games is just twenty-five cents each and sundaes are just fifty cents.. Persons can purchase tickets at the event and have fun all afternoon.
The Richardson-Bates Houses Museum will be open for tours. All proceeds from the event will go toward the operating budget of the museum.
