We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
Healthy Family Week is a colaboration between local businesses to engage the community in healthy habits. The Children's Museum of Oswego, Green Planet Grocery, Mother Earth Baby, Master Pryor's Taekwondo America, and Creation Studio are joining together to bring a whole week of exciting activities and events for the whole family!
In addition to some great events, we will be hosting daily challenges focusing on Healthy Habits. All completed challenges may be turned in for some exciting prizes/offers from participating businesses. Healthy Family Week begins on Earth Day with a number of Earth Day celebrations throughout the community including YMCA Healthy Kids Day, Mother Earth Baby's Great Cloth Diaper Change and Green Planet Grocery's Earth Day Celebration. It ends with the CNY Healthy Family Expo on April 30th. Throughout the week, families are encouraged to participate in daily Healthy Habit Challenges. These challenges will be sponsored by participating businesses. Each participant must obtain a Challenge Card to keep track of your daily challenges. The cards may be turned in at the end of the challenge week for a number of prizes from participating businesses. There is a maximum two entries per family so families may choose to either do the challenges as a single family unit or up to two children may individually enter the challenge. Completed cards will receive a $5 coupon off purchase at Green Planet Grocery and at Mother Earth Baby, a coupon for a free fitness class at Creation Studio, a coupon for a free fitness or child class at the Oswego YMCA, as well as other prizes that will be added.
Throughout the week, we would love to see photos of the challenges being completed. Please share what you are doing to encorporate these Healthy Habits into your day during Healthy Family Week. Remember to have fun!
