2018 Oswego City Snowman Building Contest Planned for Feb 24th

Jen Losurdo does it again and this time her creative mind brings you the very first Oswego City Snowman Building Contest.

"I am looking to create free and fun entertainment for the children of Oswego." said Losurdo, "It's a long Winter here in Oswego and we need all the positive, creative outlets for kids, that we can possibly get."

The contest is slated for February 24th at the Historic Franklin Square Park, West, with registration starting at 9 AM. and snowman building at 10:30 AM. Whistle ends the competition at 11:45 AM and judging begins at 12, Noon.

Official Rules:

1. Teams must have no more than 3 people. All ages are welcome. The contest is open to families, individuals, businesses, and organizations.
2. Teams are required to bring their own accessories such as scarves, carrots, hats, buttons, etc. All accessories should be family-friendly and safe for the environment.
3. Snowman may be ANY size
4. Teams may only build their snowman from 10:30 am - 11:45 am on Saturday, February 24th at the Historic Franklin Park, West.
5. Prizes will be awarded to the Funniest, Most Original, and Best Dressed Snowmen.

Entry into the contest is free.

Food is provided by Dino's House of Burgers on W. Bridge St., hot chocolate provided by Oswego Kiwanis Club and the Oswego Lions Club will serve as judges. The event is hosted by the City of Oswego and the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau. Graphics are created and donated by iHeartOswego and the iHeartCorp.
