The concert, which features orchestral reductions, is part of the college's Ke-nekt' Chamber Music Series. The Symphoria String Quartet -- violinists Peter Rovit and Sonya Stith Williams, violist Arvilla Rovit and cellist George Macero -- will perform. The Symphoria String Quartet is part of the Symphoria orchestra, formed in 2012 in Syracuse.
The quartet will be joined by SUNY Oswego second-year music major Christopher Spinelli as well as SUNY Oswego music chair and concert pianist Robert Auler. Spinelli is set to perform Schumann’s "Piano Concerto in A Minor," while Auler will perform Beethoven's "The Emperor Concerto No. 5 in E-flat Major."
A pre-concert talk will take place at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 ($5 for students with a valid SUNY Oswego ID) and are available at all SUNY Oswego box offices, online at tickets.oswego.edu or by calling 315-312-2141. Parking is included in the price of the ticket, and is available in the employee and commuter lots adjacent to and across Washington Boulevard from Sheldon Hall.
