Ride Oswego County events for 2018
4 races allowing you to challenge yourself in different bike racing styles.
1 Non-competitive rideparty.
For 2018 we’ve expanded the Oswego County Race Series to 3 races. As a series participant, you’ll be competing for points to be the KING or QUEEN of Oswego County.
Along with the expanded series, we’re very pleased to announce that for 2018 Oswego Health will be the title sponsor for all our events including the Oswego County Race Series. We very much appreciate their support as it works hand in hand with Ride Oswego County goals which include increasing the love and enjoyment of cycling for all ages, increasing safety for cyclist and in turn creating a healthier lifestyle for participants in our group and residents of our county.
The dates you’re going to want to remember, whether as a participant or volunteer are:
June 16th for Getting Happy in the Valley or G-HIT- V. The first ever Gravel Grinder in Oswego County history. What is it? 35 miles of wonderful gravel and paved roads in and around Happy Valley Game Preserve in Eastern Oswego County. Once you’re done racing or riding we’ll hang at the Williamstown FD for food and beverage and the good time of talking about the race! Partial proceeds to benefit Williamstown Fire Department. Race is sanctioned by NACS
July 7th Seneca Circuit Race: A repeat of our 2017 event which was well received by the attendees. This year looks to be bigger and better. Hosted by Oswego Health. The race course runs around The Manor at Seneca Hill just south of the City of Oswego. You’ll be racing multiple laps on smooth roads at a very spectator friend venue. Bring friends and family to cheer you on! Race is sanctioned by USA Cycling. 3.21 Salads food truck will be on site
August 18th Tour de Loop: Start and finish along the shores of Lake Ontario! 30 or 50 mile course depending on USA Cycling race category. No “long” hills per se, but we make up for it with enough short punchy ones. Race is sanctioned by USA Cycling
September 1st Tour da County: A non-competitive ride with options for 25, 50 and 100-mile routes. Rest stops along the way for the 50 and 100. Starting from the town of Granby just outside Fulton, NY some beautiful scenery while hitting the four corners of Oswego County. After we hang, eat, drink and be merry. Partial proceeds to benefit Granby Center Fire Department. Race is sanctioned by NACS
September 30th Cross Out Child Abuse: Held at the Scriba Town Park outside of Oswego NY. Not many places have a sandbox and we’re inviting you to come play in it. Cyclocross with a cause. Partial proceeds to benefit Oswego County Child Advocacy Center. Race is sanctioned by USA Cycling. 3.21 Salads food truck will be on site.
