“Edgy Folk is folk music with an edge, an acoustic based sound with inspiring harmonies, intricate percussion, and polished songwriting.” Oasis Productions.

A fundraiser for the Civic Arts Center - Come join us on June 9th from 7-9 PM as we enjoy the sounds of Edgy Folk and raise money for a new furnace!

We will be co-hosting this amazing group in an open house format in a collaborative fashion with our dear friends at the Art Association which includes their opening of their latest show "Transformation".

Patrons can attend one, or both of these events for a "give what you can" donation collected at the door. The proceeds will be given to the Civic Art Center's Furnace Fund.

About Edgy Folk:

Songwriting duo Donna Dennihy and Jon Peterson showcase original songs in their band Edgy Folk, one representation of their twenty-one year musical partnership. Donna and Jon capture a unique sound with original music based on
polished songwriting and creative takes of cover songs, all performed with heart and groove.

They have been featured artists in Jeffrey Pepper Rogers’ Songwriter Series, and each has been guest artist for the international Acoustic Guitar Songwriting Project. They have several CDs and are working on a new Edgy Folk release for the end of summer.

Band members include Jon Peterson (guitar, mandolin, banjo, and vocals,) Donna Dennihy (guitar and vocals) joined by bass extraordinaire Zane Carnes (Ithaca College), fiddle master Jimmy Drancsak (Fredonia College), and wild percussionist and harmony man Chris Kuhns.
