The 26th Annual Oswego County Hospice Cup Regatta will be held Saturday, June 14, it was announced by Elena Twiss, executive director, Friends of Hospice in Oswego County (FOHOC).
The regatta race begins at 10 a.m. and it will be followed by a reception at the Oswego Yacht Club, 11 Seneca St., Oswego, with dinner, auctions, quilt raffle, live music by Brian Taylor and an award ceremony to follow from 3:30 – 7:00 p.m., Twiss said, There will also be an Italian Chicken Dinner prepared by the Garafolos Importing Co. for $20 per meal. Presale pickup to begin at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Oswego Yacht Club. Quilt raffle tickets are $5 each or three for $10. Quilt raffle tickets are $5 each or three for $10.
“All proceeds will be donated to the FOHOC,” Twiss said. “We continue to provide non-medical support for hospice patients in Oswego County and the Camp Waves of Hope bereavement summer camp experience for children who have lost a loved one. In addition, we just introduced our Life Longings program, a new service for terminally ill residents offering support by making comfort improvements, helping with milestone celebrations, or fulfilling ‘bucket list’ requests.
