Science Today: "Teaching science the way we do science"
Please join us for this Science Today, titled "Teaching science the way we do science -- transitioning to a CURE in biochemistry labs" by Julia Koeppe, faculty member in the Chemistry Department. Professor Koeppe will discuss how classroom undergraduate research experiences (CUREs) have the potential to transform undergrad science lab courses, and how she has worked with collaborators to develop a flexible semester-long CURE to study proteins. Professor Koeppe and her collaborators have assessed student learning and engagement with the materials, with positive outcomes overall.
Science Today is sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. All members of the campus and local community are welcome to participate; light refreshments are served. Campus visitors will need to get a parking pass for $1, visit the Parking Office for more information.
