Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."

The time around sunset is sometimes referred to as the golden hour; you never know what wildlife might be active during this time. Birds are coming in to rest for the night, others are getting ready for their nighttime migration flights, starting to hunt or court. We will explore Lake Ontario, wetlands, woodlands and fields in pursuit of owls, woodcock, waterfowl, raptors and songbirds.
Funds raised during the Finger Lakes Birding Festival will go to the Friends of Sterling Nature Center’s “Join Our Flock” capital campaign.
