We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
Learn how to whittle or to sculpt little figures in wood. John Pupparo will be teaching a 3-week class at the Art Association of Oswego. Pupparo has more than 20 years of experience as a wood carver, using classic hand carving gouges. He uses mostly Bass (Linden) wood as the carving wood of choice. The class will meet from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM Mondays, March 16, 23 and 30. This class is for adults 17 and up. Ages 12 to 17 may participate with prior permission from the instructor. The classes will be held at the Art Association of Oswego located at 20 Barbara Donahue Drive, right across the street from Fort Ontario. The cost is $53.00 for AAO Members or $75 for non-members. There is also a $10 materials fee due the first night of class, payable to the instructor. All tools are provided. To register and pay please visit the website Oswegoarts.org.
