Navigating the Calendar

We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.

  • To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
  • Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
  • You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."

Boater Safety Classes
Sunday, June 08, 2014, 11:00am - 03:00pm

There is no charge for the training. A parent or guardian must accompany any youths ages 10 through 17 to the classroom on the first day of the course to sign a parental permission form.

New York State Law requires boaters to hold a safety certificate if:

-You wish to operate a personal watercraft and are at least 14 years of age.
-You wish to operate a motorboat and you were born on or after May 1, 1996. You must be at least 10 years of age to take the course.
-Although not mandatory, except of PWC operation, adult boating education is strongly recommended.

Students must attend both days of their chosen training course to complete the program.

Pre-registration is required and class size will be strictly limited due to available space. Interested students can register by contacting Kelley Kuhl weekdays from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM at 349-3259.
