Oswego County 4-H will be offering a three-session African Safari program.
This program will be held from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Fridays, and one Saturday, starting on October 18th through November 2nd. Two sessions will be held at the Believers Chapel North in Mexico, and the other session will be a field trip to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse.
Participants will learn through hands on activities about the many kinds of animals and the habitats they live in, on the African continent. Session topics will include Herbivores and Carnivores, and Habitats. The program ends with a field trip to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo
. The Oswego 4-H African Safari program is open to youth ages 8-18 years old. The fee to participate in these three classes and enroll in Oswego County 4-H is only $15 per youth. Enrolled Oswego County 4-H members are free. However, everyone will have to pay $8 for the Rosamond Gifford Zoo Field Trip. Registration is required as space is limited.
