WATER CHESTNUT PULL
Calling all kayakers and canoers! We need the help of volunteers who have
a kayak or a canoe and/or are willing
to get their hands dirty pulling Water Chestnut, an invasive species, from
local bodies of water. RSVP and Rice Creek will hold a Water Chestnut pull
on Wednesday, July 6 (rain date, Thurs-day, July 7 ) from 9am – 12pm at the Rice Creek Field Station. Volunteers who would like to participate in the Rice Creek pull event, call RSVP at 315-312-2318 or email rsvp@oswego.edu.
Please ensure to bring life jackets
and your watercraft dry and free of any plant material. Plastic laundry baskets can be used to collect the species, feel free to bring some along to assist in collection.
