We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."

Painting People with Jessica Joyce

Painting People will be a beginner painting class for ages 3 - 99 based on Impressionism—a technique that uses short, thick brush strokes of paint to capture the essence of the object, rather than the visual details. Quickly applied brush strokes give the painterly illusion of movement and spontaneity.
The class will be referencing a picture of a person they admire and we will primarily be focusing on painting portraits, depicting the face, head and shoulders.
In order to give her best teaching performance, Jessica has limited each class size to the first 10 lucky people to sign up.
Dates: August 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29th (all Mondays).
Times for classes are split by age group:
Ages 3-7: 10 AM -11 AM
Ages 8-12: 11:30 AM-12:30 PM
Ages 13 and up: 1 PM - 2 PM
Cost: $35 members / $50 nonmembers
Bring a picture or two for a reference of who you want to paint.
