We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.

  • To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
  • Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
  • You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."

Living Writers Series - Phil Memmer

Philip Memmer is the author of six books of poems, including Cairns (Lost Horse Press 2022), Pantheon (Lost Horse Press 2017), and Lucifer: A Hagiography (2009), which won Lost Horse Press's Idaho Prize for Poetry. His work has appeared in such journals as Poetry, Poetry Northwest, Poetry London, and Southern Poetry Review; in many anthologies; and in the Library of Congress's Poetry 180 project. He founded and directs the YMCA's Downtown Writers Center in Syracuse, serves as Publisher at Tiger Bark Press, and teaches creative writing on occasion at Hamilton College.
