We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
A series of visiting professionals talking about their work, careers, and experiences 'making it' in the arts. Silver Run Ceramics is a collaborative line of functional ceramic ware created by artists Michelle Lyn Strader & Frederick Bartolovic. On their small farm in the Appalachian foothills of Eastern Kentucky, Michelle & Frederick put forth their unique strengths as ceramic artists into collaborative works which speak to their shared experiences on the farm. These manifest through contemporary forms that are highly functional and versatile, embellished with primitive and sometimes mythical imagery depicting animals and nature. A narrative is always honored within the work, whether it is the relationship between predator and prey, the intricate balances observed in the natural world, or modern interpretations of ancient symbolism or folklore. Each piece composes allegorical motifs with decorative symbolism and serves as a thoughtfully conceived work of functional art.
