Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
COURSE INFO
In 2024, all operators of motorized vessels born on or after January 1, 1978 need to carry a safe boating certificate while operating. Starting January 1, 2025, a safety certificate will be required of ALL operators, regardless of age.
The Oswego County Sheriff's Marine Patrol Unit will be conducting the NYS Safe Boater Course on the following dates and locations:
April 13 8am-4pm Scriba Fire Department
April 21 8am-4pm Scriba Fire Department
May 5 8am-4pm Phoenix Enterprise Fire Company
Registration is handled online through the NY State Parks website. Register for the course here.
There is no fee to attend the course. However, students over 18 who successfully complete the course will have to pay a fee to NYS Parks to file their certificate.
Students have to be at least 10 years old on the day of the class.
