We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
The Oswego County Health Department partners with the Food Bank of Central New York to offer four mobile food pantries around the county in August.
Anyone in need of food assistance can attend a mobile food pantry to receive a free box of food. There are no income requirements for recipients; however, boxes are limited to one per household while supplies last.
The August mobile food pantry schedule is:
- Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 4 to 6 p.m.: Life Church, 2856 NYS Rte. 49, Central Square (entrance is on county Route 37)
- Friday, Aug. 16 from 4 to 6 p.m.: Oswego Alliance Church, 371 Thompson Rd., Oswego
- Tuesday, Aug. 27 from 4 to 6 p.m.: Bowens Corners United Methodist Church, 758 NYS Rte. 176, Fulton.
Attendees of the Central Square event on Aug. 6 are asked not to arrive before 3 p.m. as the parking lot will not be available before then.
Mobile food pantries are drive-thru events and people are asked to stay in their vehicles.
