Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
Hone your construction skills at Beaver Lake! You will be supplied with milk cartons and cardboard for your base, and lots of wildlife-friendly decorations like seeds, acorns, fruit, and more! Participants will get 1 hour to construct their houses, then judging will take place. There are two judging categories: Apprentice (ages 12 and under) and Architect (ages 13+). First place winners in each category will receive a free snowshoe rental (can be substituted for a free canoe rental). After judging takes place, you can either take your creation home with you to feed your backyard wildlife or take your house outside with a naturalist to feed the wildlife of Beaver Lake.
Registration: $6/Member; $7/Nonmember.
Registration fees do not include park admission ($5/vehicle).
