Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."

Let Rice Creek's naturalists be your guides to exploring the fields, forests, and wetlands of Rice Creek Field Station. We'll explore what we find on the landscape, including animal tracks, wildflowers, and animals active year-round like resident birds. Walks last approximately one hour and traverse fairly flat terrain. Please dress for tick protection. Sturdy, waterproof shoes or boots are recommended.
The topic, duration, and terrain level can all be customized to the group's needs and interests. Families with young children are encouraged to join -- our naturalists, current and retired school teachers, are skilled at engaging and inspiring young people in nature.
