Join us at SUNY Oswego for "Fabricating Change: Converting Textile Waste into Valuable Materials & Understanding the Consequences of Apparel Manufacturing"

Description: Join us for an insightful lecture and discussion with Dr. Juan Hinestroza, Rebecca Q Morgan '60 Professor of Fiber Science & Apparel Design and Interim Chair of the Human Centered Design for Cornell University's School of Human Ecology. Dr. Hinestroza will be discussing the direct impact of textiles and apparel manufacturing as well as the conversion of textile waste into raw materials for other manufacturing processes.
In support of Zonta International’s “Zonta Says NOW” commitment to gender-equal climate action, Dr. Hinestroza will also share personal stories and observations of the textile manufacturing field’s impact on the environment and people.
