Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
Try Sailing!
Have you ever watched the sailboats out on the lake and wonder what it
would be like to be out there on one? Sailing is....
• a competitive sport with racing every Monday and Wednesday in Oswego,
and multiple regattas during the summer!
• a great leisure activity for the whole family!
• inexpensive: fill the sails with wind instead of filling the tank with fuel!
• a wonderful way to enjoy our beautiful Lake Ontario!
If you would like to try sailing, the Oswego Yacht Club will provide you with an opportunity to go out for a sail, completely free of charge. All you have to do is attend one of our “Try Sailing” seminars first, to give you an introduction to sailing. These free seminars will be held at the Oswego Yacht Club, at 11 West Seneca Street.
