IOC is proud to participate in the annual SUNY Oswego 𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐀 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤

ALANA (African, Latino, Asian, and Native American) focuses on fostering a sense of community, empowering student leaders of color, and promoting appreciation for diversity within the predominantly white institution by providing programs for leadership development, cultural exchange, and student engagement.

Here is how the Peace Walk will unfold.

The 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐠𝐨 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝟏𝟎:𝟎𝟎 𝐚𝐬 𝐮𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥. We will leave the bridge between 10:30 am and 10:45 am to meet the ALANA group at the corner of West 2nd St. and Bridge St, (near the movie theater) and begin the 𝟏.𝟔 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐘 𝐎𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐠𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬, 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥.

If you would rather only participate in the Peace Walk, meet us near the movie theater at 10:45 am.

The walk route will proceed from West 2nd Street, West on Bridge Street, crossing right onto Washington at the Bridge St, Seneca, 104 forks in the road, ending the walk in front of Marano Campus Center.

𝐏𝐑𝐎 𝐓𝐈𝐏! If you don’t want to walk back from the campus to your car parked downtown, CARPOOL!
Find a buddy and meet them early at the SUNY parking lot highlighted on the map. Leave one car there, carpool back to the Bridge March/Peace Walk start location and then carpool back downtown to your car after the Peace March.
