Oswego Empty Bowls Fundraiser Throw-a-Thon and Trim-a-Thon
Saturday, October 25, 2025, 10:00am - 08:00pm
We need your help! Whether you’re a community member, SUNY Oswego student, staff, or faculty and know how to throw a bowl on the pottery wheel, the SUNY Oswego Clay Club invites you to the ceramics studio (Tyler Hall, Room 128) on Friday, October 24, and Saturday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for our Throw-a-Thon and Trim-a-Thon. Drop in anytime on those days—every bit of help counts!

The annual Oswego Empty Bowls fundraiser benefits Human Concerns, a non-profit emergency food pantry in Oswego, and SHOP, the student pantry at SUNY Oswego.

In addition to the Throw-a-thon, the annual Glaze-a-Thon will take place on November 7, and everyone—experienced or not—is invited to join us in painting and glazing the bowls. Drop in anytime from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Tyler 128.

Then, on November 14, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., these handmade bowls will be on sale in Tyler Hall Lobby. It’s never too early for holiday shopping, and these handmade bowls make wonderful, meaningful gifts! If you’re volunteering, please meet us in Tyler 128 at noon to help set up. If you have handmade bowls to donate or would like to bring canned food or non-perishable items, feel free to bring them to the event. Both SHOP and Human Concerns will have tables set up.
