A class to learn how to make three different Christmas fabric packaging will be offered at Lakeside Artisans on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
he instructor, Kathy Fenlon, will help class participants choose from a large variety of Christmas fabric and create three different items that can be used for wrapping gifts: a gift card or cash holder, a buttoned pouch, and a drawstring pouch. This is an easy sew project--participants should have basic sewing machine skills (know how to thread the machine and go forwards and backwards). Students may bring their own portable sewing machine if they have one. A machine will be provided for students who do not have one to bring.
Once students learn to make these items, they'll want to make more to attractively wrap gifts. Each item can be used again and again as gift wrapping, or to hold small items. All materials will be provided. Written instructions will be provided along with details on how to adjust sizes.
To register for the class, or for more information, please contact Lakeside Artisans at 342-8880 or lakesideartisans@gmail.com. The class fee of $45 includes all supplies. A non-refundable registration fee of $10 is required with the balance of $35 due the day of the class. Registration for the class may be done in person at Lakeside Artisans or mailed to Lakeside Artisans at 191 West First Street, Oswego, NY 13126.
