Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."
Let Rice Creek's naturalists be your guides to exploring the fields, forests, and wetlands of Rice Creek Field Station. Holiday walks will focus on seasonal changes and animals preparing for winter. Participants are encouraged to keep their eyes open for discoveries and ask questions along the way.
If conditions allow, participants can borrow snowshoes for the walk — including child and youth sizes! Snow or hiking boots are best for snowshoeing. If there is insufficient snow for snowshoeing, please plan to wear hiking or rain boots due to seasonal muddy spots along trails. Walks last approximately 1 hour and traverse fairly flat terrain.
