Navigating the Calendar
We get it! There's a lot to see here. That's why we've added a number of ways for you to find what you're looking for... and to browse smarter.
- To view event listings by town or city, use the Location Filter to the right.
- Browse by event type by clicking on the category you'd like to see more of; for example, clicking on "Free" will pull up all calendar entries that you do not have to pay to participate in.
- You can also type in keywords into the calendar's search bar, such as "yoga" or "bingo."

Beginning Paper Piecing Class for ANY Quilt Pattern or for a Judy Niemeyer Pattern or Technique of the Month!

Class Fee: $25 per session
Description:
Learn to paper piece the Judy Niemeyer way with this workshop. Make Haystack Cookies, you pick your pattern/project, or finish the one you have already started. Guided instruction and a longer period of time will give you success and your heirloom quilt will be ready for quilting. Give yourself the gift of time. Ahhhhhhh……. Stop by the shop and Pick your Pattern. Or…. bring your own pattern challenge of any kind for guided instruction.
Paper Piecing Supplies for Judy Niemeyer Classes
Haystack Cookies pattern or any Judy Niemeyer pattern which includes papers
Fabric Glue Pen AND
UHU Glue Stick or a water soluble glue stick for paper or repositionable glue stick
Fabric Yardage Listed on Pattern Sheet
Template Plastic for folding template and to create a template
“Add a Quarter” 6” ruler or “Add a Quarter” 12” ruler
Quilting Ruler
Small Iron & Ironing Pad
Gallon Zip Lock Bags
bigger size paper clips
Purple Thang
Rotary cutter (with a new blade in it!)
Rotary cutting mat
Fabric scissors
Pencil
Flat head pins (best for paper piecing) and fine 1 ⅞” glass head pins
Sewing machine - Don't forget the power supply and foot pedal! A regular open toe foot and ¼” foot.
Sewing supplies
Thread and bobbins– color that will blend with your fabrics
Size 70 needles (Microtex recommended)
Seam ripper and Scotch Tape (just in case!)
Painters tape comes in handy when labeling fabric
Pre-Class Instructions:
1. On the back of the papers for each unit, trace the DOTTED lines with pencil and number
