The Kinesio Taping Method is a rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to faciliate the bodies natural healing process while providing stability and support to injured muscles or joints while still allowing the body part to move freely.
This technique is well researched and very effective in the treatment of various musculoskeletal disorders. This technique is offered at Adirondack Physical & Occupational Therapy, located at 127 E. First St., in the heart of Oswego.
Sneha Khetawat, MSPT, treats all orthopedic conditions of the spine, hip, knee and foot, as well as sports injuries. She recently attended a kinesio taping course July 12, specifically for lower extremity impairments. According to Khetawat, "kinesio taping gives therapists a clear advantage when treating soft tissue injuries and pain by facilitating healing, reducing swelling and giving the body feedback on muscle activation."
