Adventure at Burritt's Marine and Power Sports, a locally-owned boat and power sports dealer, held a ribbon cutting on Friday to celebrate the grand opening of the new business.

Located at 186 City Line Road in Oswego, Adventure at Burritt's Marine and Power Sports is a retailer for Sun Chaser and SmokerCraft boats, Mercury and Yamaha motors, Polaris and CanAm ATVs and side-by-sides, as well as being a service and repair center and parts dealer. They also plan to offer off-season storage.

According to Rich Burritt, 4th generation owner of Burritt Motors, "There's been a gap in the marine and power sports market in our area for many years. With the opening of Adventure at Burritt's, Oswego area boaters and riders now have a local alternative for sales, parts and service."

Burritt thanked all who had a part in the new venture and was joined in the ribbon cutting by his wife Britanee Burritt and their children Brogan, Crew, and Rhodes, General Manager Jay Lorenz, Jana Lorenz, Oswego Mayor Rob Corradino, and John Yard.

In a second ribbon cutting, the Burritts were joined by friends, staff, and representatives from Operation Oswego County and the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce.

The grand opening celebration included a Hawaiian luau-themed buffet and decor. Each guest was offered a flower leƬ and a complementary mai tai.

Adventure at Burritt's is open Monday -Friday from 9am until 5pm, and Saturday from 9am - 3pm. They are closed on Sunday.
