Write a commentThe Art Association of Oswego announces a low-cost class to learn to screen print your own posters, greeting cards, and paper prints. It will be held June 6 & 7 from 6 to 8 pm at the Oswego Civic Art Center in Oswego.

You’ll learn how to create your own screens using a variety of techniques; the use of screen printing equipment, supplies, and tools; and how to screen print onto paper. You’re encouraged to bring two or three drawings or designs to screen print and as many sheets of paper that you can print! Attendees will be given sample papers, use of inks, squeegees, and equipment. You’ll leave with a variety of screen prints and the confidence to continue screen printing!
Justin Mastrangelo, the instructor, is a community based artist, printmaker and art educator. He is an Adjunct Professor of Art and alumni of SUNY Oswego. Justin is the founder of “Learn Create Share”, a traveling studio focused on cultivating creativity through workshops in printmaking.
He is the creator of “The Art Cart,” a mobile printmaking space offering a variety of printmaking processes to communities and art centers across New York State.
