Write a commentAirport Day is scheduled for August 11th at the Oswego County Airport on Route 176 in Volney. The event will run from 8 am - 4 pm and admission is free.
Come to learn about the history of the airport, as well as the plans for the future of the airport.
In addition, the event will feature a Wheels Up Classic Car Show, a chicken barbeque and a drone display. Helicopter tours will be available for a fee.
Pilots from the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 486 will be on hand to introduce children to the Young Eagles Program. Open to children aged 8-17, the Young Eagles is aimed at getting youth interested in aviation. Pilots approved by the program donate their time and fuel to provide short flights for children at no cost. Flight opportunities will be based on pilot availability the day of the event.
