Obituaries

Alan J. Foster, 73, a resident of Oswego passed away on December 17, 2016 at the Oswego Hospital.

Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Alan H. and Beatrice (Stone) Foster. He was a graduate of the South Jefferson High School and received degrees in History and Science from the State University of New York at Brockport.

He was a teacher who taught kids throughout Oswego County.

Mr. Foster was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam.

He was a history buff and enjoyed coaching kids in baseball, basketball and flag football. He was a fan of the Montreal Canadians and the NY Yankees. He was an avid fan of racing at the Oswego Speedway and enjoyed watching the Kentucky Derby.

Surviving are his children, Michael (Concetta) and, Kelly both of Oswego, an uncle, Joseph Stone of Naples,Florida and and a grandson, Johnathan.

Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.

There are no calling hours.
