Alfred John Stamm, 78, of Minetto passed away on May 23rd, 2019.
Born in Wisconsin, he was the son of the late Alfred Joachim and Erdine (Timberlake) Stamm.
Alfred was a professor of Meteorology at SUNY Oswego for 41 years and was a former Department Chair.
He was an outdoorsman, who loved white water boating and cross county skiing. He loved traveling, was an avid woodworker and a wine enthusiast who loved wine making.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 45 years, Ginny; daughter, Abigail Jeanne Stamm, of Albany; son, Craig Kevin Stamm of Oswego; a sister, Virginia Lemanczyk, of Long Island; acquired children, Jackie Pilon and Patience Phillips; many other children who shared the Stamm family home; and four grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by Robert Stamm, Bonnie Sutton, Lisa, Wendy, and Bobbi Jean.
Calling Hours will be Thursday, June 6th from 3-6pm at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street. Funeral will be Friday, June 7th at 10am at Hall Newman Center.
