Once the lights come up on stage, you never know what kind of response you will get from those watching from the audience.

Every performance is different in subtle ways. Some lines between actors are delivered differently, facial expressions may  change among the characters, and even a line or two can be forgotten now and then. And luckily the audience never knows the differences.  The end goal is to present a fine-tuned production that all will enjoy. And that is exactly what folks are saying about Always A Bridesmaid.

The cast was recently thrilled when the playwrights, Jones, Hope, and Wooten called to wish everyone a successful run and to thank the Art Scene at the CNY Art Center for producing their comedy about love, friendship, and loyalty.

Bridesmaid takes place in the fictional Laurelton Oaks mansion over a period of 7 years, as four good friends honor a promise made during their high school days. Now 30 years later, they continue to hold to their promise as they find themselves as bridesmaids again and again and again. The fun begins when anything that could go wrong, goes wrong. The result is a fun filled romp for the audience.

This past opening weekend must have been a huge success. Given the many accolades and obvious smiles by those exciting the Art Scene Theater. Always A Bridesmaid was a real crowd pleaser this past weekend. The show runs again April 12, 13 at 7 pm and Sunday April 14 at 2 pm in the Art Scene Theater at the CNY Arts Center in Fulton, NY. Tickets are available online: cnyartscenter.com, by calling the box office: 315-598-2787 or at the door; Adults $18 and Seniors $15.

Always A Bridesmaid is presented through special arrangements with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.
