Anthony Chillemi, 88, of Oswego, died Tuesday morning, April 9, 2013, in St. Luke Health Services,
in Oswego.
Mr. Chillemi was born in Elizabeth, N.J., a son of the late Joseph and Rosaria (Juiffre) Chillemi, and he
has been a resident of Oswego for most of his life.
Mr. Chillemi was a muck farmer in Oswego with his brothers at the Chillemi Brothers Farm.
He served in the United States Airforce with the 330th Bomber Group from 1944 until 1945.
He was a former member of the St. Joseph Golden Age Group.
Mr. Chillemi is survived by his wife, Betty Chillemi, of Oswego; two stepsons, Joseph McConkey, of Florida, and Martin (Deborah) McConkey, of Minetto; a brother, Francis Chillemi, of Oswego; and a sister, Mary McLaughlin, of Oswego.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Dominic and Joseph Chillemi.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m., Friday, April 12, from St. Joseph Church.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, at the Sugar and Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W.
Fourth St., Oswego.
